Short Film encounters and Animation Festival Calls , for entries

Animation Festival had received over 3,000 applications , for this year’s  annual event . 

Encounter Festivals , has announced , entries for its 2018 festival , which is scheduled , from ,          25 – 30^th , September ,  2018 , in Bristol, in The UK . Encounter Festival , is a qualified , UK  festival , for the Oscars , BAFTA’s and European Film Award s. Under the festival’s ,  “ widening the lens ” initiative , the competition aims at , bringing back , its popular immersive , VR track .

This year’s  , Encounter festival track , had featured , around , 257 competitive films  , which included animated films , live-action and VR short films , from 46 different countries  , which were shown for six days  . The Winners of its 23rd edition , included , “  Signature “ , by Japanese filmmaker : Kei Chikaura  , who took the Brief Encounters Grand Prix ; ‘’ Ugly ’’ , by German 

directors : Redbear Easterman and Nikita Diakur , who won the Animated Encounters Grand Prix and ‘’ We Love Moses ‘’ by Dionne Edwards : taking the Chris Collins ,  Best of British Live Action Award .  

“ Encounter festival , is dedicated , to showcase , emerging talent and seeking out , the brightest stars , in short film making ” , says festival organiser , Rich Warren . “ The 2018 edition , will take over , venues in Bristol and invite filmmakers to network , be inspired and learn from visiting speakers , from all over the globe ” .

The early bird offer , for the applicants , comes with a reduced entry fee of £20 within March 30^th . The regular deadline , is May 18 (£25) howver  and the final , late entry deadline  ,(£40) is June 1^st .
