MUMBAI : Graphic
India , the character entertainment firm , has focused on inventing characters
for comics and stories , through mobile and digital aides , which has managed
to raise $5 million , in a new financing round .
The funds , received
through this , will be further used to create , authentic and genuine , Indian
super heroes and other entertaining characters for franchises . The company ,
has said that , it will start to launch its characters , into international
markets too in an aggressive way . This move will further help the company
expansively , as it will go beyond digital comics and animation . These will be
transferred as original mobile contents , live action TV / Films , virtually
and even into augmented reality ( VR / AR ) space .
A team of global
media and investment leaders , who will be participating , at Liquid Comics ,
include : Start Media , Julian Farrior ,
who is the Co Founder of Back flip Studios ; Mohandas Pai's , 3 One 4 Capital ; Neeraj Bhargava , Founder
of Zodius Capital and many others . This new financing round , was iniatied by
these investors .
Sharad Devarajan and Liquid Comics , along with lead
investors ,which includes : CA Media ,
The Asian Investment arm of The Chernin Group and NYC investment group , Start
Media founded Graphic India .
Devarajan the CEO and Graphic India said , " In today's
media landscape , if the content is the king , then in the global market it’s
appealing as it’s the multi platform content is the God . The mission of Graphic
India , is to create the characters and the stories , which are very unique to
India , but entertaining and inspiring , to the audiences round the world .

annual multi billion dollar character entertainment industry . We believe , the
next JK Rowling , Steven Spielberg, Miyazaki or Stan Lee , are here in making , in

content for the firm .
